Initially, i planned to blog abt the 3 days of orientation 3 days ago...but i kept delaying. Now i still rmb more of less what happened, so here goes.

31st Mar

First day of orientation, the first freeshie i met was Yap Yue. He takes the same bus as me, goes to the same course, and is in the same class. Haha, so coincidental. The registration took a hr to complete and we moved on to the icebreakers. The game was smth like what i played during church camp 2 yrs ago. The class sat in a circle and the person who starts the game, person A (Ahmad) had to say out his name for the class to rmb. The person sitting beside A, person B, had to repeat both A's name and his. The game continued till it reached Ahmad and he had to repeated all our names. The funny thing was tt the majority of my classmates' name were in Chinese!! John and i alr had a hard time rmbering their names...what abt Ahmad?! HAHAHA.

Then we played Wacko. They wanted to plan a sneak attack on me, but it was very obvious luh hahaha. I called out for Yi Qin, and Jake (one of my OGLs. He does well in leading the grp) who was the monkey didn't even know such a person existed in the class. Haha. We also played Guess Who's the Leader? but it's like a failed game. No one could guess correctly. Lol.

Later we had to line up in twos, and Jia Ying became my partner. I think Jake saw tt DA 05 was too quiet, so he grped us in fours according to our seating arrangement to bust. From thr i got to know Jia Ying, Eileen, and Wei Ming more.

I also knew Lina as the extroverted one. She was the only noise at the eating table, haha, including John which she managed to click with. Lunch was weird for me cuz i brought my own container and hot water to make my own instant campbell chicken soup. It sucked, but i guess the rest wasnt feeling good abt their rationed food either. A lot of ppl didnt want to eat their veggies bcuz they tasted "extremely horrible" as quoted from them. Haha. The rest of the day was rather quiet, boring and superrrr hot :(

It didn't even start out well to begin with! I wore my new shoes i bought from Fareast, and it keep cutting the back of my feet and gave me a huge blister at my little toe. Guo Xiong (OGL) was at the back so he noticed me limping and stayed with me who was lagging 10 metres behind my grp. Lollllll. I kinda kicked up a convo with him, but he was very quiet. Up till now also, haha. Wei Hao (also an OGL) also realised i was a slowpoke, and asked me if i wanted to rest...like bring me to sit down some place while the grp toured the schl. The pain was bearable so i declined. I was bored anw...but i think i got him worried. He kept asking me if my feet were okay. My wisdom teeth also. Had so many probs on the first day -_-

1st Apr

2nd day, the schl made us reach schl at 8.15, but ppl were late... Lol... got reprimanded a bit, then we were asked to note down some impt things. Aferwards, it was talking talking and more talking. When the dry moment finished, we were given an assignment to come out with a storyboard of Mr Man. Wei Ming's tummy procrastinated VERY VERY loudly hahahaha. It was hell hilarious!

The OICs said thr would be wet games today, so most of us were in black. I was looking forward to get soaked! I wanted to bomb ppl with the water bombs and all :D:D (the game was NOTHING like that btw), but girls like Liang Yi and Yi Ting didn't hope for tt to happen. Awwww. Rong Yun was the 1st person i talked with in the morning... She's someone i didnt get to talk to on the first day. I had to probe her but she can talk (:

We discussed abt the grp name and grp cheer later in the day, and my class came up with super weird names. Like 'frozen monkey' and all... Jia Ying didnt know what to name our grp so she randomly came out with "we died from the heat" and it got the winning vote. Hahahaha, but it was too long to bomb other grps or say the cheer so in the end we shortened it to 'heatstroke'. We practiced our cheer then went into the atrium/auditorium...(cant rmb) to hv talks.

It was bonding games next! Three of the games left a great impression. One of them was passing on the msg thru actions, without talking. Only a certain no. of ppl could take part, so i tgt with some others were the bystanders. The msg given to us was "My wife is pregnant." and when the msg got to the last person, Jia Wei, it came out as "My wife has boobs." HAHAHAHAHA lolllll all of us burst out laughing, even the game IC. The other game was making the longest line with any materials except body parts. Yap Yue rampaged thru his bag and pulled out all kinda long things like wires, earpieces...and shoelaces? Hahaha, so the line kept growing and growing. Only 10 ppl could take part, but nevertheless, it was exciting to watch (: The last game tt strucked deep was a game whereby 2 grps competed against one another. The grp which has the least newspaper on their side of the line wins. While both our grps were crushing the newspaper into a smaller ball, Jia Wei and Yap Wei grabbed chunks of newspaper and hid them. The other grp also kinda cheated. They had this big piece of newspaper to keep the other newspaper bits inside!! D: Our opponents saw Jia Wei throwing the newspaper he kept away, and the game conductor found out, but he let the 2 grps win. Haha.

In the end we didnt hv the time to play the water games cuz of time, but nvm luh. We all had loads of fun :D I got to talk to Ling Tong too. Actually he talked to me, lol. It was quite funny cuz the place was sooo noisy i couldnt hear what he was saying, and when he asked me for my name, i was like "i duno." LOL.

2nd Apr

We had to reach schl at 8!! D: but everybody gathered by 9. As expected, lol. We were seated in the lecture theatre and the OICs (VERY FUNNY PPL) wanted every grp to take turns to do their cheers. Then we did 2 kallang waves :D

The rest of the day was spent drawing on a special kind of styrofoam board. The grp was supposed to put them tgt as a representation of us, and present ourselves on stage. The presentation thing went well with John around...giving an impromptu speech. And some grps came up with interesting ideas!

Yap Yue finally spoke a lot to me on the last day. It was sudden, but glad he opened up. Eileen toooo (: Keng Jin is unbelievable... she's very quiet in real life, but in one of the MSN grp convos, she said she had a crush on Wei Hao! :O Haha...it's no wonder tho, cuz Wei Hao is like the caretaker of the grp. He's pretty observant and gentle. I communicated with Ghee Hoe and Chun You to know them better on MSN. However, i still havent chat much with everyone from my class. Ppl such as Ahmad, Jia Wei, Wei Shan, and idk-the-name. Hope i can when schl reopens.

I thoroughly enjoyed the orientation. Those who's orientation havent started, enjoy yourselves! :D

♥ loves.
