Decisions

I kinda reflected abt life for a bit after reading Ben's blog.

EVERYONE has decisions to make cuz life is just like that. You can't help it. (Don't worry, nobody's alone) And it's actually thru those decisions that make you what you are today, don't you agree?

The decisions you make, decides the path you take. Every single person hv different definitions of what is right and wrong; thr isn't rly any 'right' or 'wrong' decision. It is how you choose to lead your life (that is if you get to choose).

For example, if your peers ask you to smoke and it's bcos of pressure you accept their "challenge", it is wrong, to me, in the sense that smoking is bad for health and yet you still do it. However, the ppl inviting you to smoke would mostly oppose me saying it is a way to relax, etc etc etc. It could be really enjoyable for them, i don't know. That may be their way of releasing stress, while i hv my way, so is it right to say that one party is wrong since we object each other?

Smokers would, of course, give you lots of reasons as to why you shld smoke. They wouldn't tell you abt all the risks and hazards and then offer you a cigarette, would they? :P Similarly, in life, if you make a stand, you would hv your reasons to support it. Reasons that would help you stay firm in your choice, or to win others into following your belief.

But we hv to note that whatever we do; whatever the route we choose to go, we'll hv to face the consequence/s of it. You can say this is right or that is wrong, but at the end of the day, do you think your decision is worth it?

We shldn't be afraid of facing the ramifications or be scared that what we choose might be 'wrong' to us, but instead hv faith in ourselves. Rmb to trust God too :D

It's okay to regret, bcos we can learn from them (: Though we can't reverse time to change things, since we've alr made a decision, we shldn't dwell on it for too long. We shld be more focus on what's on the road ahead of us, which i think is more important, cuz it decides where you're going to go and what you would become.

Gasped for air and let people see
There’s so much more inside of me
Without speaking a word.

I’ve held the wonders of the earth
Experienced the beauty since my birth.
Moments made filled with mirth
Without spending a dime.

I’ve faced my fears with a stern face
Let them know that they knew their place.
Life is mine to feel safe
Without worrying what’s beyond the corner.

I’ve seen it all, yet know there’s more
Some steps I’ve relived before.
But I’ll keep walking across the floor
Without knowing where each step falls.

I know the dangers. I know the cost
But I know my life is never lost.
So I’ll keep living with my unknown cause
Without asking for anything in return.

I’ll gain some friends—some memories, too
To myself, I vow to be true.
And I’ll push myself to make it through
Without giving myself the chance to fail.

This is life—it’s what you make it
Take it now, but please don’t break it.
Life does not come with a life time guarantee
It’s yours to take without knowing what it will be.
