you're a mystery yourself

Yes, what a glorious afternoon it is! People are working, eating, maybe sleeping n i hv yet to finish revising my Geog. But i'm taking breather now since i've been studying non-stop from 10.30 to um, 2.30? Yeah, abt there. I realised Geog is so interesting but it's just too much memory work n common sense. Well, sometimes i'm not sure if my common sense are really true or tt i'm thinking of stuff tt are facts only to me. Grr... guess i'm making myself confused here._. Anyway, i've realised quite a few things so far:

1] Parents -

They really cherish and care for us, just tt they do it the wrong way which leads to misunderstanding and conflicts.

Also, they usually think what's best to them for us is the absolute right choice tt they often become ignorant to our feelings. So when we get angry at them putting too much pressure on us, they reason but nvr find out the true cause. Upsetting, huh?

And mothers contradict at times, without even realising(!). You know, Singaporeans hate to "lose face" thus, they'll push the blame on you and claim they aren't. Then continue to make us feel guilty and all tt.

When having a little "quarrel" over some things, and they can't seem to say anything wise anymore, they change the topic (with ease!). The ones the keep repeating throughout your life, such as your results yada-yada-yada. Those that'll make you feel the pain and worse, the shame.

Parents are listeners, but not all are GOOD listeners. They get all the facts mixed up, don't know who to trust and even get the wrong info in their heads.

Hmm... they also hv somethings tt is v. distinct - their loud voice. Whoa. Once they open their mouth, you can only expect 2 kind of words - harsh, firm ones tt can bring down someone and give them great hurt, or those tt can calm and soothe which relaxes. The words tt causes a piercing crude effect is usually the ones tt stays with you for life, tt warns you if there's authority near, it is a must to watch whatever you speak. On the other hand, caring words lasts only a moment bcos after tt, things may change. Well, maybe.

2] Teachers -

I wonder if they really care if not for the money. Some truly do. For me its those tt are not teaching me. They look like they hv a better understanding of us, students. Teachers who holds us like their own children, or treat us like how they want others to treat them are worth teachers, maybe parents or someone who deserves the respect. They are somewhat emotionally closer to us, and i would certainly prefer this than just being close physically.

This may not be how you guys feel, but it is to me. These are only the flaws of parents and teachers. They can be fabulous!

3] Me -

I can't sleep without hugging smth! One time, i was unwell and was resting in the sch's sick-bay but they didn't hv any bolster. So...uh... i used the pillow to help me get some sleep. Sweet!
And, hmm... i also need a "sense of security" such as my blanket! Cos i would be afraid of don't-know-what. Heh. Oh well, when i am, i hide under it and tt feels safe:D

The end~

♥ loves.
