Cell today was great! I learnt a lot of things, y'know:D

It was abt "Praying Our Hate" - Psalms 137
We want to be at our best before God. Prayer, we think, means presenting ourselves before God so tt he will be peased with us. We put on our "Sunday best" in our prayers. But when we pray the prayers of people, the psalms, we find tt will not do.
We must pray who we actually are, not who we think we should be.

How true!:D

Psalms 137:1-6
1By the rivers of Babylon we sat and
wept
when we rmbered Zion.
2There on the poplars
we hung our harps,
3for there our captors asked for
songs,
our tormentors demanded songs of
joy;
they said, "Sing us one of songs
of Zion!"
4How can we sing the songs of the
LORD
while in a foreign land?
5If i forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill.
6May my tongue cling to the roof of my
mouth
if i do not rmb you,
if i do not consider Jerusalem
my highest joy.

*This is abt some ppl held as captives and were tortured by their enemies.

-This psalms combines the lovilest lyric we can sing with the ugliest emotion we can feel. But what makes vs 1-6 lovely?

Personal feeling/s (PF): The ppl still rmbers God even when they were feeling angry and in a depressed state! Right? That's so wonderful:D

And if you read Psalms 137:7-9, you will find tt the people has anger, hatred and wants revenge which is not really a godly thing.

Well, know tt God CAN handle our hate! Cos He is Love; the opp. of hate!
Surely He can overcome it;)

PF: Anyway, don't you agree tt you don't like some ppl only to realise you love them most? Bcos you care for them, love them SO much, tt you sometimes feel upset abt the things they do tt are not right. You cherish them so much so tt you want them to change for the better. The reason you worry is only bcos you care abt them and at the same time, showing them concern and understanding.
